About Ruth Wallace
Ruth Wallace is an artist based in Bristol. Her drawing practice explores the borderland between absence and presence and the familiar and the strange. Much of her work, over the years, has focused on the domestic interior and the narratives held within it: “the trick of light which catches your eye in an empty room, the sensation that someone has passed behind you, the sense that the walls hold stories within them”.
Wallace holds an MA in Fine Art, University of the West of England (2007) and BA (Hons) Graphic Design, Bath Academy of Art (1982).
