About Jonathan Orlek

Jonathan Orlek is an architectural practitioner and researcher interested in the intersections between art, architecture and ethnographic research. He is a Director of Studio Polpo, a social enterprise architecture collective based in Sheffield. With Studio Polpo he has undertaken a number of projects concerning alternative living, public space making and high streets, including High Street of Exchanges, an immersive architectural installation for the British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021. He is also a Lecturer in Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University.
